Why does it take DxO sometimes longer than other companies to support new cameras?

This information applies to all versions

Adding support for new cameras to DxO PureRAW isn't a matter of simply updating the software with new code. The team in charge of cameras and lenses needs to shoot up to 1000 test images for the purposes of measurement and calibration. This means our lab in France needs to obtain new cameras and lenses, which can take extra time since only commercially available models are used for this purpose. Even after this process, it of course takes time to produce profiles and integrate them into our software.

DxO teams will work to reduce that time and improve customer satisfaction.
