Does the DxO ViewPoint plug-in work in non-destructive workflow?

This information applies to the latest versions

DxO ViewPoint as a standalone application:

DxO ViewPoint automatically saves your corrections in .dvp sidecar files alongside the original images. This allows for non-destructive editing, as your original files remain unchanged.

DxO ViewPoint integrated into DxO PhotoLab:

DxO ViewPoint is seamlessly integrated into DxO PhotoLab, allowing you to apply corrections directly within PhotoLab's non-destructive workflow.

All corrections are saved in PhotoLab's .dop sidecar files. These files are completely independent of the .dvp sidecar files created by the DxO ViewPoint standalone application and do not interfere with each other.

DxO ViewPoint as a plug-in for Adobe Lightroom Classic or Photoshop:

When used as a plug-in with Adobe Lightroom Classic or Photoshop, DxO ViewPoint applies corrections to a TIFF copy of the original image (Lightroom Classic) or to the image opened in Photoshop after Adobe Camera Raw is closed.

In this case, DxO ViewPoint does not support a non-destructive workflow using sidecar files.
