Why can't I use JPEG files for the non-destructive workflow? Why do I need to use a TIFF for this workflow?

This information applies to versions 3 and newer

It's necessary to use a TIFF instead of a JPEG because the TIFF technology used for the non-destructive workflow contains the original image as well as the output image and the Nik parameters, whereas the JPEG format does not allow the necessary metadata to be integrated inside its file.
