My plugins do not appear in Adobe Lightroom Classic after installing. How do I fix this?

This information applies to all versions

This issue typically occurs with a fresh installation of Lightroom, where the settings have not yet been modified and the preferences file does not yet exist. This file is essential for the correct installation of Nik plugins.
It is required for the Nik Collection to be properly installed and detected.
Another possible cause is if the Lightroom setting "Store presets with this catalog" is enabled, which can prevent the plugins from appearing.

We recommend the following steps:

  1. Open Lightroom Preferences, make some minor changes (e.g., interface language, performance settings), and save them.

  2. Ensure that "Store presets with this catalog" is disabled (Preferences > Presets tab). If it is enabled, disable it and restart Lightroom.

  3. Uninstall Nik Collection:
     - Windows: via Add or remove programs
     - macOS: via the uninstaller (found in the Applications folder or within the Nik Collection installer)

  4. Reinstall Nik Collection
