The crashes could be caused by a lack of virtual memory in the system. Some systems are configured to restrict the amount of virtual memory (this can also be amended by users or by some 'optimization' software), which can cause DxO PhotoLab to crash during heavy usage (especially during processing).
Some systems have a virtual memory size of only 1 or 2 GB or so, which is not enough.
The best way to fix this is to configure the system swap in automatic mode.
