CAUTION: This procedure replaces the DxO PhotoLab database with the DxO OpticsPro database (Version 7 or later only). As a consequence, all projects or customized image changes (if the sidecars option is disabled) done in DxO PhotoLab are lost. Make sure to back up it first, if needed.
DxO OpticsPro database import procedure:
- Open DxO PhotoLab.
- Select File > DxO PhotoLab 1 (or 2, or 3, or 4, or 5) Database > Restore a DxO OpticsPro / DxO PhotoLab backup.
- Browse the folder C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\DxO\DxO PhotoLab 1 (or 2, or 3, or 4, or 5) \Database\
- DxO OpticsPro ... database is properly restored.
macOS:
CAUTION: This procedure replaces the DxO PhotoLab database with a DxO OpticsPro or DxO PhotoLab database (Version 7 or later only). - First, your database should be backed up from the version of DxO PhotoLab you want to import from.
- In there, go to the File menu, choose Project Database > Create a Backup. This will create a file that you can keep and re-import in a later version of DxO PhotoLab.
- Then, in the version of DxO PhotoLab you want to import to, go to the File menu, and choose Project Database > Restore a DxO OpticsPro / DxO PhotoLab Backup, then select the backup you created.
