How do I transfer my custom presets from earlier versions of DxO PhotoLab to the new version?

This information applies to version(s): 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

On macOS, presets from older versions are automatically migrated.

On Windows OS, you can export previous custom presets, and import them into DxO PhotoLab by doing the following:

  1. In earlier versions of DxO PhotoLab go to the Customize screen, and on the Preset Editor palette, select a custom preset by clicking on it once.
  2. Right-click on the preset and choose the ‘Export…’ option. You can also select the preset and click once on the down-facing arrowhead just to the right of the ‘Discard’ button on the Preset Editor palette. You can now export the preset to a folder of your choice on your computer.
  3. In DxO PhotoLab, go to the Preset Editor palette on the Customize screen and click on the down-facing arrowhead just to the left of the ‘Discard’ button.
  4. Choose the ‘Import…’ option and select the custom preset file you just created.

There is additional information on using Presets in the DxO PhotoLab User Guide.
