After installing Nik Collection 8, Photoshop still shows the Nik Collection panel from my older version. I also can't find a version 8 panel under "File > Automate". Why?

This information applies to the latest version

Starting with version 8, the previous Nik Collection panel that was accessible via File > Automate has been replaced with a new plug-in panel. This new panel is fully integrated into Photoshop’s standard panel system and works just like any other native Photoshop panel.

The new Nik Collection panel, along with the individual plug-in palettes, will automatically appear the first time you launch any Nik plug-in from the Plug-ins menu in Photoshop.

You can move, close, and rearrange these panels as you would with any other Photoshop panel.

Note: The new Nik Collection panel is not available in Photoshop Elements, as this application does not support the necessary plug-in architecture required for advanced panel integration.
