How do I activate trial versions of the DxO software and why does the 4-block activation code not work when the software asks for a 5-block code?

This information applies to latest version

When requesting a trial version of DxO software, please provide a valid email address. You’ll receive an email with your download link and activation key. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder if it doesn’t appear right away.

Once received, download and install the software. When you launch it for the first time, enter the activation key when prompted to start your trial.

Please note:

  • Trial (demo) activation keys consist of 4 blocks, while permanent license keys have 5 blocks. The activation window contains two separate fields — one for entering a trial (demo) activation code and one for a permanent license code. Please ensure you are entering your code in the correct field.

  • The trial code only needs to be entered once. When restarting the software during the trial period, simply click the button that appears to start/continue the trial—there’s no need to re-enter the code.

  • If the software asks for a 5-block code instead of a 4-block one, and there is no active option to start/continue the trial, it usually means a trial version was already installed on your system and has expired.

If you decide to purchase a permanent license, you can enter your 5-block code in the same window to activate it permanently. Once activated, this window will no longer appear.
