How can I migrate my custom presets from a previous version of DxO OpticsPro (>7) to DxO PhotoLab?

This information applies to versions: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Windows:

DxO PhotoLab custom presets import procedure:

  • Open DxO PhotoLab.
  • Switch to the tab "CUSTOMIZE" and expand Preset Editor.
  • In Preset Editor, select the Import button.
  • Browse the folder C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\DxO\DxO PhotoLab 1 (or 2, or 3, or 4, or 5)\Presets\ and select the preset you want to import.
  • The preset is converted and imported in DxO PhotoLab.

macOS:

Presets should be automatically imported from the previous version. If you want to import custom ones or re-import from a previous version:

  • In DxO PhotoLab, go to the Customize tab, and find the Preset Editor palette.
  • In there, click the button with an arrow at the top right, and select "Import...".
  • Find the preset(s) you want to import and confirm. If you're trying to import Preset from a previous version, they will be located in ~/Library/DxO PhotoLab X/Presets/ (X being the PhotoLab version). This folder is hidden by default, so you may have to find it from the Finder, in the Go menu, by choosing "Go to Folder..." and entering that path.
